Arthur's grave at Glastonbury

When five Japanese tourists had finished
          their photo shoot,
standing on the plot where some say Arthur
          lies with Guinevere,
pointing with inscrutable grins at the board
          that names the place,
they left the scene.
The ruined transept, open to the sky, fell
     empty and mostly silent,
leaving me sitting quietly to one side,
listening to bone traces recover from the weight.
