Shelter
Most days are drear in this moor-domed place.
What is not green is grey. A wild wind
scorches sweetness from the grass.
Even the White Stone shivers when there is no sun.
In the dark warmth of the shed,
breathing hay-soft cattle-shared air,
glad of cud chewed comfort,
I shall spend the hours dreaming of summer.
